olivine is Hiring a Remote Program Manager

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Program Managers to oversee several critical grid services programs. Join us in making a difference in any of these three areas managing Olivine’s California programs:

  1. ClimateResponse® VPP Program
  2. Demand Side Grid Support Program (DSGS) 
  3. Emergency Load Reduction Programs (ELRP) 

Help us reduce the impact of climate change by reducing GHG emissions, reducing the use of fossil fuel plants and avoiding rolling blackouts to make a safer and healthier planet for everyone.

With a deep understanding of the energy industry and previous experience in managing demand response/load flexibility programs of scale you are able to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Ensure Olivine meets all its responsibilities ensuring success of the programs we implement and administer.
  • Be the primary point of contact for critical clients and partners with demonstrated ability to maintain professional relationships.
  • Oversee the operations of the program working directly with department managers and prioritizing customer success.
  • Oversee direction, management, quality control and timely completion of deliverables within budget parameters.
  • Lead and develop proposal content and project budgets.
  • Interact and communicate with all stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research and lead data analyses both for industry trends and in support of partners and clients.
  • Understand and track industry trends and market changes providing input as to impact on products and services.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for managing a myriad of activities across a variety of departments and functions and ensure alignment of strategies and objectives.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to transfer knowledge, develop expertise and to ensure operational excellence is achieved.
  • Provide regular reporting on key performance indicators and future program design requirements. Lead and manage meetings, calls, facilitated sessions.​​​​​
  • Ensure management, team members and partners are kept up to date on status’ capture escalations and resolve issues. 
  • Organize and facilitate in-person meetings, conference calls, and collaboration sessions.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as math, statistics, engineering, quantitative finance, or business;
  • 5 years of experience in the energy industry and previous experience in managing demand response/load flexibility programs
  • Previous demonstrated project management experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated abilities to lead and conduct analyses.
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of proficiency in Excel. A working knowledge of Python and SQL is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment balancing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of the energy industry and demand response. Experience with wholesale electricity markets is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel for business.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of utility and regulatory structures as well as knowledge of demand response policies and programs are desired.
